The personal safety and health of each employee of this company is of primary focus. The prevention of occupationally induced injuries and illnesses is of such consequence that it will be given priority over operating productivity where necessary. To the greatest degree possible, management will provide all mechanical and physical facilities and safeguards required for personal safety and health, in keeping with the highest standards of the industry and maintaining our collective goal is providing a safe and healthy work environment.
At Sapphire Steel, safety isn’t a set of checkboxes on a list – it’s a state of mind. We choose to make safety a part of everything we do. We know that our staff, crews, guests, visitors that come to our site and the communities we are working in deserve our commitment to ensuring a safe work environment every single day.

Our goal at Sapphire Steel is ZERO: No incidents and No injuries and everyone goes home safe to their families.

Creating a safe job site and work culture
Sapphire Steel’s mission is to create a strong and safe culture where all workers return home safely at the end of each day. Safety and training are key aspects to our business. Sapphire Steel is responsible for the health and welfare of a significant workforce. This is why Sapphire Steel has a goal of zero incidents and we are committed to making this outcome a reality. By completing site specific job safety plans before any of our projects begin is one of the many important steps that we do.
Prior to starting work on our projects our Health and Safety Team works together to account for the conditions and hazards present at each site. Once the project begins, the Health and Safety Manager makes site visits to the jobsites, to monitor and consult with the site supervisors to help further assess the conditions and hazards of the sites. Our full-time Health and Safety Manager oversees all training requirements and ensures everyone is current and up-to-date with any training requirements that are required from our clients. In addition to mandatory safety training, our staff understands the importance on safety and therefore, we support our staff to obtain industry standard certifications as well as on-site specific training to promote education of up-to-date best practices. Along with an extensive Health & Safety Program. Sapphire Steel uses SiteDocs on a daily basis in real-time, so that our supervisors are able to share our safety documentation with our clients, the work crews and the management team. We also use SiteDocs to track our safety certifications.
